Coyotes (2025) Film Review

Coyotes (2025)   This film has very little substance on the surface level, and going in, I was hopeful that it would commit to the cheesy monster horror vibe like most nature predator films. However, this movie is way more than just scary wolves and death. I call these things wolves because they hardly look like real coyotes. Yes, they have the color right, but the dogs are way too big boned to be coyotes, which automatically throws this film off the rails from the beginning. In addition to the unrealistic-looking howlers, the pacing for the first 30 minutes or so feels very unclean and choppy. Many humorous moments and character development were lost as a result, and it was difficult to understand and relate to many of these characters. I enjoy the comic book theme, but it is part of the reason this film felt uneven at the beginning. Some of the character intros felt super random and came out of nowhere.
